Santana has been singing since he was a teen and picked up playing the guitar at the same time, while jamming with friends after school. He has since become a talented bass player, as well as proficient on keyboard, presenting many sounds and rythyms, and amazing audiences with his natural talents ever since. Santana has a unique singing talent enabling him to replicate the sounds of Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias, Eric Clapton and even Garth Brooks and Jimmy Buffett, to name just a few.
In 2003, Santana's trio, El Te de Playa, was selected out of dozens of upcoming Mexican musicians to represent Mazatlan in a nation-wide contest, where they performed a song Santana had composed. His song and group proved to be one of the most popular acts in the competion and were dubbed "The Band from the Beach".
So far, Santana has put out 2 CD's in both English and Spanish with a wide variety of popular songs, and is now hard at work on his first full-length Mexican Romantic Music CD.
